Aekyung Industry staff pitch in at farms during planting season

Employees at Aekyung Industry's Cheongyang factory helped sow soybeans, sesame and chili peppers on farmland in Jeongsan-myeon, Cheongyang-gun, South Chungcheong Province, during the planting season, the company said Thursday.

The activity was organized to support local farming households facing labor shortages driven by rural population decline and aging. In May, factory staff also visited Deokseong-ri in Jeongsan-myeon, where they staked more than 17,000 chili pepper seedlings across roughly 600 pyeong (1,980 square meters) of farmland.

The Cheongyang factory serves as a key production hub for Aekyung Industry's flagship brands, including TRIO, 2080, KERASYS and AGE20'S.

"We will continue to support residents with their farming work and be a partner that grows together with the local community," a factory official said.
