The history of Gangwon Land is marked by a hard-won journey toward integrity — one that required the company to resist persistent pressure from the political sphere.
With June designated as Ethics Month, Gangwon Land has launched a full-scale "Integrity Month" campaign in partnership with the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC), reaffirming its ambition to become the leading public enterprise in ethical conduct.
Throughout June, the company will run a range of campaigns — including specialized education programs — aimed at strengthening employees' commitment to anti-corruption and fostering a healthy organizational culture.
The month kicked off Wednesday with the "2026 Integrity Live Concert" at the Grand Ballroom of High1 Grand Hotel, drawing some 300 executives and employees, including senior managers, team leaders, newly promoted staff and new hires.
The event featured a special lecture on anti-corruption practices and a theatrical performance titled "STOP Gapjil" staged by a troupe affiliated with the ACRC's training institute, giving employees an opportunity to internalize ethical values.
Also at the event, acting CEO Nam Han-gyu and standing audit committee member Ahn Gwang-bok personally wrote quiz questions for an employee participation segment called "Integrity Golden Bell," engaging directly with staff.
Additional campaigns planned for the month include a special integrity and ethics lecture by the ACRC's vice chairperson, a contractor integrity roundtable led by senior executives, and human rights violation prevention education and inspections for subsidiaries and partner companies.
"This year, through close collaboration with the ACRC, we have made it possible for all employees to participate actively and internalize a culture of integrity," Nam said. "We will ensure that senior leadership sets the example, and that subsidiaries and partner companies join us in building a culture of integrity and human rights — so that Gangwon Land can become a public enterprise that earns even greater trust from the public."
