A shaman who drew attention for accurately predicting the breakup of actors Jeong Kyung-ho and Choi Soo-young is now forecasting that the two could reunite and even marry.
A new video titled "(Prophecy fulfilled) The reason Jeong Kyung-ho and Soo-young broke up — the inside story as seen by a working shaman" was posted Thursday on the YouTube channel "Myeongkwaehan Myeongdoryeong."
In the video, the shaman known as Myeongdoryeong described the behind-the-scenes circumstances of the couple's split and offered a reading of their future fortunes.
Myeongdoryeong had previously predicted the breakup before it happened, saying he saw "no sign of a marital bond and that a separation was coming."
In the new video, he said he felt "a heavy heart and some hurt" as his earlier forecast that "it would be difficult for the two to reach marriage" came true. He identified the biggest causes of the split as "a difference in how urgently each wanted to get married" and "family issues."
"Soo-young seemed to feel a sense of urgency about wanting to get married sooner, while Jeong Kyung-ho kept cautiously holding back, weighed down by the desire to reach the peak of his career first and lead the relationship from a position of confidence," he said.
He also cited opposition from family.
"It appears there was an elder on Jeong Kyung-ho's side who opposed or discouraged the marriage," Myeongdoryeong said. He added with regret that "if only there had been a guiding figure to offer reassurance, the stars were aligned for them to reach marriage without a breakup."
He said, however, that the two had not parted ways for good.
"It has not been long since they broke up, and despite the separation, a strong energy of mutual affection, love and consideration still lingers between them," he said. "If a supportive figure appears around them to help change their hearts, the energy is there to turn things around and lead to a reunion. The possibility of marriage after a reunion remains open."
Fans responded to the video with comments such as "I hope they get back together" and "I hope the two get a happy ending."
The channel has since surpassed 370,000 views, drawing wide attention.
