Korea Radioactive Waste Agency hiring 5 staff in radiation management, cleaning roles

The Korea Radioactive Waste Agency is recruiting two career-track radiation management staff and three public-service cleaning workers.

According to the agency Friday, applicants for the career-track radiation management positions must hold either a radioisotope handling supervisor license (SRI) or a radiation management engineer certificate, along with at least three years of relevant experience.

The three public-service cleaning positions — one facility role and two general roles — will award bonus points to applicants aged 50 or older and to those who submit a National Fitness 100 physical fitness certificate.

The agency will also apply equity-based bonus points for people with disabilities and youth aging out of foster care, while residents of Gyeongju will receive additional points under the law on regions hosting radioactive waste facilities.

Applications will be accepted from June 18 to June 26, with submissions due by 1 p.m. each day. Candidates will go through document screening, a written exam (for career-track positions only) and interviews, with final selections announced in August.
