Daegu's Sinam Park water playground reopens after renovation

A water playground at Sinam Park in Sinam-dong, Dong-gu, Daegu has completed a major renovation.

According to Daegu's Dong-gu Office on Friday, the facility has been refurbished ahead of summer and will begin a trial operation at the end of June.

Dong-gu expanded the park's area from 490 square meters to 1,086 square meters and added water play equipment, cooling fog systems, decking and benches.

Following the trial run, the playground is set to open fully in mid-July.

Kim Tae-un, acting head of Dong-gu, said the renovation would allow residents to enjoy summer in a safer and more comfortable environment. "We will continue to improve parks and everyday lifestyle infrastructure to enhance the quality of life for our residents," he said.
