Korea Consumer Agency hosts 2026 North Chungcheong Cybersecurity Council

The Korea Consumer Agency announced Friday that it held the "2026 North Chungcheong Cybersecurity Council," co-hosted by the agency and the National Intelligence Service and sponsored by North Chungcheong Province.

The council was organized in line with the enactment of the Framework Act on AI Development and Trust-Building and the adoption of the first and second interministerial comprehensive information security plans.

Cybersecurity experts from major institutions across North Chungcheong Province — including central and local government bodies, public institutions, universities, and public hospitals — attended to share strategies for responding to cyber threats amid shifting national cybersecurity policy.

The first session covered recent national cybersecurity policy developments, including AI security, the National Network Security Framework (N2SF), and security monitoring measures for cloud adoption and use. The second session focused on the "2026 North Chungcheong RISE" project, discussing ways to link cybersecurity innovation initiatives with universities in the province.
