Samsung Fire chief calls for insurance-industry collaboration at record global conference

The Korea International Insurance Conference, the country's largest global insurance event, concluded its third edition at record scale.

Samsung Fire announced Friday that it participated as lead sponsor of KIIC 2026, held June 10-11 at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

KIIC was established to strengthen the international competitiveness of South Korea's non-life insurance market and expand exchanges with overseas insurers. This year's conference focused on the future direction of the insurance industry under the theme "The Role of Non-Life Insurance in a Changing Risk Environment."

"KIIC is cementing its place as the leading platform connecting South Korea's insurance industry with global markets," Samsung Fire President Lee Moon-hwa said. "We will continue to expand cooperation between domestic and international insurers and future industries to help raise the international competitiveness of Korea's insurance sector." The event drew more than 1,300 insurance professionals from 175 companies across 27 countries, setting a new attendance record.
