South Korea striker Son Heung-min ranked seventh among the fastest players at the 2026 North America World Cup, with Australia defender Jordan Bos topping the list.

A BBC analysis of FIFA data showed Son reached a top speed of 35.2 kilometers per hour during the group stage's first round.

Bos, who plays for Feyenoord in Turkey, clocked 36.7 kph to claim first place — a notable achievement for a defender who outpaced a field of prominent forwards.

Norway striker Erling Haaland of Manchester City came in second with a top speed of 36.5 kph, tied with City teammate Abdukhodir Khusanov of Uzbekistan, who matched that mark exactly.

Australia's Mohamed Toure of Norwich City followed in fourth place at 35.8 kph.

Ryan Gravenberch of the Netherlands, who plays for Liverpool in the Premier League, recorded 35.6 kph to finish fifth. That result meant four of the top six players on the list compete in the English top flight.

Ecuador forward Alan Minda edged out Son with a speed of 35.5 kph to take sixth place.

England's Jed Spence tied Son at 35.2 kph for seventh, while France forward Kylian Mbappe came in ninth at 35.1 kph.

Portugal's Pedro Neto and Bosnia-Herzegovina's Esmir Bajraktarevic rounded out the top 10, both clocking 34.8 kph.
