Police investigate man in his 40s over alleged sexual assault of teenage sisters by private tutor

Police have launched an investigation after a guardian reported that two teenage sisters were sexually assaulted by their private tutor. Officers who responded to the scene are questioning a man in his 40s.

The Wonmi Police Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province said Tuesday it had booked a man identified only as A, in his 40s, on charges including quasi-rape and is conducting an investigation.

A is suspected of sexually assaulting two teenage sisters who were his private tutoring students at a residence in Bucheon.

Officers who responded to the guardian's report collected evidence at the scene and are working to establish the full circumstances of the alleged assault.

"The investigation is ongoing, and we cannot confirm specific details in order to protect the victims," a police official said.
