Fourth Gangseo location opens at Gyeonghyang Church, offering role play, exploration activities and more
A new public indoor playground — the fourth Seoul Kids Cafe location in Gangseo-gu — opened Friday in the Deungchon 3-dong neighborhood of Seoul.
District Mayor Jin Kyo-hoon presided over the opening ceremony, which drew about 60 attendees including local children and their parents.
The facility occupies 305.52 square meters on the first floor of the Gyeonghyang Church education building (19 Hwagok-ro 63-gil), led by Senior Pastor Shin Seung-wook. It features a trampoline, role-play zones and a range of other play equipment, along with family-friendly amenities including restrooms and a nursing room.
The cafe is open to children aged 3 to 6 and their guardians. Admission is 2,000 won per child and 1,000 won per guardian for a two-hour session.
The facility operates Monday through Saturday. Reservations can be made through the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Woori Dongne Kium Portal.
Gangseo-gu has expanded its Seoul Kids Cafe network every year since Jin took office in 2023. Including the newly opened Deungchon 3-dong location, the district now operates Seoul Kids Cafe facilities in Balsan 1-dong, Hwagok 3-dong and Hwagok 4-dong as well.
"I hope parents will feel confident leaving their children here, and that children will come and play to their hearts' content," Jin said. "We will continue working to expand childcare infrastructure throughout the district."
