Daegu's Dalseong Water Splash festival to open July 18 at Diark Plaza

Dalseong-gun announced Monday that the youth festival Dalseong Water Splash, organized by the Dalseong Culture Foundation's Dalseong Cultural City Center, will open at 5 p.m. July 18 at Diark Plaza near Gangjeong Weir.

Now in its second year, the event launched last year as the first water festival hosted by a local government in the Daegu area.

This year's edition carries the tagline "Daily Life LOGOUT, Dalseong Splash TIME!" and places strong emphasis on youth-led participation.

The main stage will feature top-tier artists including Chungha, Zion.T, Nucksal, Kim Ha-on, DJ Subin and DJ Lara & Sweet Girl.

Local young artists — including students from Keimyung University's theater and musical department, the Bisa cheering squad and regional street dance teams — will also perform alongside the headliners.

Youth booths operated by the Dalseong-gun Youth Innovation Committee and the Dalseong Youth Innovation Center will anchor the festival grounds, joined by a youth market centered on young small-business owners and food trucks. The setup aims to create a practical economic space where young artists and entrepreneurs can naturally come together.

Admission is free for anyone aged 13 and older, with all tickets in a standing format.

Ticket reservations open in two phases: the Dalseong residents' zone on July 3 and the general zone on July 8.

Attendees must bring identification documents for verification at the entrance on the day of the festival.

General zone ticket holders need a photo ID confirming their age, while those in the residents' zone must present an ID or a copy of their resident registration showing both their age and a Dalseong-gun address.
