Sessions cover investment attraction strategies, university partnerships, technology demonstration and TIPS selection strategies
Seodaemun-gu will host a free open lecture series for early-stage startups from July through October, holding five sessions at the Seodaemun Youth Startup Center (43 Susaek-ro, 3rd floor) to strengthen the capabilities of young entrepreneurs and invigorate the local startup ecosystem.
The series, titled "Seodaemun Startup Growth Open Lectures," is part of the 2026 Seodaemun-gu Youth Venture Nurturing Project and is open not only to existing startups but also to prospective entrepreneurs interested in launching a business.
The five sessions cover key topics tied to each stage of startup growth: investment attraction strategies, university partnership and collaboration, writing a business plan for the privately led technology startup support program known as TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup), technology demonstration linkage and TIPS selection strategies.
Each session combines expert lectures with participatory networking. Sessions will also address how to strengthen IR (investor relations) presentation skills and enhance corporate value from an investor's perspective.
The lectures are free of charge. Applicants can register through the notice section of the Seodaemun-gu Office website by clicking "Apply Now." The registration deadline for the first session — scheduled for 2 to 4 p.m. on July 10 — is July 7. Those who pre-register for sessions two through five will be notified of their respective registration periods.
Through the series, Seodaemun-gu aims to expand cooperative networks among local startups, universities, investment institutions and private companies, and to actively support promising startups in attracting investment and commercializing their technology.
"We designed the program so that startups can get in one place all the information they actually need during the growth process — investment, proof of concept, technology collaboration and TIPS linkage," a district official said. "We will continue to pursue a wide range of support to connect and grow the local startup ecosystem."
Seven innovative companies spanning AI, SaaS, content and healthcare were recently selected as participants in the 2026 Seodaemun-gu Youth Venture Nurturing Project.
The selected companies are: Metacrowd Co. (a real-time AI voice phishing prevention service), Onto Co. (an AI-based industrial workplace safety management solution), Makeworks Co. (a SaaS-based web structural design solution), Aimo Entertainment Co. (an AI music generation platform), Milliart (a personalized medical food recommendation solution for people with diabetes), Room821 Co. (an enterprise AI knowledge management platform) and Conexion Co. (an AI-based automatic safety video generation platform).
Through December, these companies will receive tailored support at each stage of their growth — including participation in the lecture series, investment attraction capacity building, proof-of-concept (PoC) technology demonstration and TIPS linkage.
