Air Premia new cabin crew wraps pre-flight training with community service

Hybrid carrier Air Premia said Monday that it concluded its pre-flight training program for new cabin crew with a community service activity.

About 30 people — including trainees from the airline's 26-2 cabin crew cohort and senior flight attendants from the in-house volunteer club "Angel Premia" — joined elderly residents of the Gangseo Rehabilitation Specialized Day Care Center for an outing at Banghwa Neighborhood Park in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, that day.

The crew members assisted the elderly with mobility, accompanied them on walks, led recreational activities and shared refreshments.

The new cabin crew completed 400 hours of coursework over 11 weeks, covering aviation security, emergency response, in-flight service and first aid.

Air Premia incorporates a community service component as the final stage of its training curriculum, giving new hires hands-on experience with the empathy and care that underpin customer service. The trainees are set to begin flying duties in early July after completing the formal program.

Meanwhile, Angel Premia continues to carry out a range of social contribution activities, including environmental cleanup drives, stray animal protection and child welfare support. The club's members had also taken cabin crew trainees to Banghwa Neighborhood Park in Gangseo-gu for a walking volunteer session with residents of the same day care center on June 1.
