Jang Yu-bin (24, Shinhan Financial Group), the only multiple winner on the 2026 KPGA Tour, retained the top spot in the Genesis Points standings after the KPGA Gunsan CC Open — the tour's final event of the first half of the season.
Jang claimed back-to-back victories at the KPGA Classic with Imbita and the Hana Bank Invitational to move to the top of the Genesis Points rankings. In 10 starts this season, he made the cut nine times and recorded three top-5 finishes, including his two wins, accumulating 3,603.70 points to hold the lead.
Jang, who won the Genesis Award in 2024, said he was pleased with his progress. "I feel good because I think I'm gradually getting closer to the goals I set for myself," he said. "My biggest goals this season are to win the Genesis Award and qualify through the Korn Ferry Tour Q-School. There's still plenty of season left, so I want to keep preparing well, maintain my results and make sure I achieve what I've set out to do."
Behind Jang, Song Min-hyeok — winner of the 45th GS Caltex MK Open — climbed to second place with 2,643.24 points after recording three consecutive top-10 finishes. Moon Do-yeop sits third with 2,518.86 points.
