Incheon wins bid to host 2027 World Customs Organization technology conference

Incheon has been selected as the host city for the 2027 World Customs Organization (WCO) Technology Conference and Exhibition, the largest international technology event organized by the WCO.

The Incheon Tourism Organization announced Monday that the WCO officially confirmed Songdo Convensia in Incheon as the venue for the 2027 event at its general assembly, held in Brussels, Belgium, from June 25 to 27.

The three-day conference is scheduled to run from March 9 to 11, 2027, and is expected to draw about 1,500 participants, including customs authorities from 187 WCO member countries, international organizations, global companies and industry experts.

"Hosting the event is expected not only to boost the local economy across accommodation, transportation, tourism and exhibition sectors, but also to significantly strengthen Incheon's global MICE competitiveness as an international conference city," the organization said.
