Actor Choi Sang-yeop, son of comedian couple Lee Bong-won and Park Mi-sun, stands 183 cm tall

Theater actor Choi Sang-yeop has been revealed to be the son of comedians Lee Bong-won and Park Mi-sun — a fact that had remained largely unknown until recently.

On June 30, comedian Jo Hye-ryeon mentioned her connection to Choi on the Rolling Thunder YouTube channel.

During the segment, Park expressed pride in how her children had turned out, saying she felt she had raised them well. Jo then revealed that Park's son had changed his surname and was working as a theater actor.

Lee and Park married in 1993 and have two children: a daughter, Lee Yu-ri, and a son, Choi Sang-yeop, whose legal name is Lee Sang-yeop.

Choi concealed his identity and adopted a different surname to begin his acting career without the benefit of his parents' fame.

"He came to audition for the play 'Sarangeui Eomma' two years ago, and it turned out he was my older sister Park Mi-sun's son — I had no idea," Jo said. "He had been going around with the surname Choi, so I didn't recognize him."

Born in 1997, Choi studied performing arts at Incheon National University and has drawn attention for his tall frame and striking looks. He is currently signed with Cube Entertainment — the same agency as Park Mi-sun — and made his debut in 2023, appearing in numerous stage productions including "Saranghae Eomma," "Hamlet Jaepan" and "Body Change."

Last year he expanded into film, appearing in "Good News" and "Gaemijabi," and in 2024 he appeared in the KBS 1TV documentary drama "Cheongsalli: Jeontuui Jaeguseong."

Park's daughter, Lee Yu-ri, is also working as an actor.
