Water purifiers, air purifiers, bidets and Berex beds among winners
Three New Technology Innovation Awards, one AI Innovation Award
24 consecutive wins; recognition expands beyond home appliances into sleep tech
Coway won innovation awards for four products at the 2026 Korea Innovation Grand Prix, organized by the Korean Standards Association. The company highlighted its expanding product lineup, with honorees spanning not only its traditional home-environment appliances — water purifiers, air purifiers and bidets — but also its Berex smart bed.
Coway announced Wednesday that the Lulu The Manner Bidet Plus, the Hitiv Warm-Air Purifier and the Berex R Series each received a New Technology Innovation Award, while the Coway Cafe Ice Water Purifier took home the AI Innovation Award.
The Korea Innovation Grand Prix recognizes companies and products that demonstrate innovation in technology, products and services. The latest wins extend Coway's consecutive winning streak to 24 years.
The Lulu The Manner Bidet Plus, which earned a New Technology Innovation Award, features a splash-suction function. Building on standard cleansing capabilities, it adds fragrance diffusion and automatic deodorization to reduce odors and the spread of contaminants during bathroom use.
The Hitiv Warm-Air Purifier combines air purification with a warm-air function, targeting year-round indoor environment management by adding heating capability to standard air-cleaning performance.
The Berex R Series is a sleep-tech product that integrates a motion bed with stretching technology. It applies stretching functions to relax the body before sleep and loosen stiff muscles upon waking. Some say the product extends the role of a bed from in-sleep comfort to pre- and post-sleep care.
The Coway Cafe Ice Water Purifier, which won the AI Innovation Award, is an all-in-one product that combines a coffee function with an ice water purifier. It incorporates professional brewing technology, AI personalization and IoCare+ functionality to enhance the convenience of coffee extraction and product management. Coway plans to launch the product later this year.
Coway started out in rental-based home-environment appliances such as water purifiers and air purifiers, and has recently been expanding into sleep and healthcare products — including mattresses and massage chairs — under its Berex brand. The latest awards reflect the company's broader push to build a product portfolio spanning both home-environment appliances and sleep products.
"These awards are the result of continuous technological innovation across our entire product lineup — from home-environment appliances like water purifiers, air purifiers and bidets to Berex beds," a Coway official said. "We will continue to introduce innovative products that add new value to customers' daily lives, grounded in differentiated technology and user-centered product development."
