Lamborghini unveils fastest-ever Urus with 312 km/h top speed

Automobili Lamborghini has unveiled the Urus SE Performante, a high-performance variant of its plug-in hybrid super SUV.

The Urus SE Performante is powered by a drivetrain combining a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with a permanent-magnet electric motor, delivering a system output of 812 hp (596 kW) — the highest in Urus history — and peak torque of 1,000 Nm.

Lamborghini bills the Urus SE Performante as the world's fastest super SUV. The vehicle accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and to 200 km/h in 10.8 seconds, with a top speed of 312 km/h.

The Performante also raises the bar in driving dynamics, with improvements to precision, stability and responsiveness. Alongside increased power and torque, a better power-to-weight ratio and new aerodynamic solutions, the model is the first in the Urus lineup to feature the AURA dual-chamber air suspension system. The system cuts body roll in half at high speeds while reducing vibration by 25 percent compared with the previous-generation Urus Performante.

Compared with the standard Urus SE, the Performante adds a Rally mode tuned specifically to maximize driving enjoyment on unpaved surfaces. The vehicle also offers an EV mode for fully electric driving, alongside the existing Strada, Sport and Corsa modes.

On the design front, the new carbon-fiber hood features a central power dome that carries on Lamborghini's heritage, while an omega-shaped signature graphic and redesigned air intakes project a wider, more assertive presence. The model also incorporates more exposed carbon fiber than any previous Urus, reinforcing its dynamic character.

Inside, the cabin follows the "feel like a pilot" concept central to Lamborghini's DNA, delivering a more driver-focused, sporting layout. A new 12.3-inch display sits at the center of the dashboard, offering updated graphics inspired by the Revuelto and a more intuitive human-machine interface.

Stephan Winkelmann, chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, said the company invented the super SUV concept 40 years ago with the legendary LM002, and again redefined the segment's boundaries when it revealed the Urus concept in 2012.

"The Urus SE Performante is the embodiment of Lamborghini's philosophy of innovation and performance, combining advanced hybrid technology, sophisticated vehicle control technology and a design language that commands attention at a glance," Winkelmann said.
