Co-growth management with partners recognized
Company leads push for sustainable construction ecosystem
Hanshin Construction announced Thursday that it received the top rating — a score of 95 or above — in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 2026 mutual-cooperation evaluation for construction companies, marking five consecutive years at that distinction since 2022.
A total of 28 large construction companies, including Hanshin Construction, earned the top rating in this year's evaluation. Companies receiving the top rating are eligible for bonus points in pre-qualification assessments for public procurement bids handled by the Public Procurement Service and local governments, as well as additional credits when calculating their construction capacity ratings.
The mutual-cooperation evaluation is a system under which the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport comprehensively assesses construction companies on joint contracting performance with subcontractors, partner development and support, and fair-trade practices. Hanshin Construction scored highly for consistently building a foundation for co-growth through expanded technology cooperation with partners and strengthened safety management.
The result is particularly notable as it follows a recent upgrade to Hanshin Construction's credit rating outlook by Korea Ratings. It is seen as external recognition of both the company's improving financial health and its efforts toward ESG (environmental, social and governance)-based sustainable management.
"Achieving the top rating for five consecutive years is a valuable accomplishment made possible by the dedication of our employees and partners who have worked together to grow side by side," a Hanshin Construction official said. "We will continue to strengthen our competitiveness in safety and quality, grounded in co-growth and trust, to sustain our long-term growth."
Meanwhile, Korea Ratings, in its most recent regular credit assessment, maintained Hanshin Construction's unsecured bond credit rating at BBB while upgrading the outlook from Stable to Positive.
