DL E&C earns top rating in Ministry of Land's mutual cooperation assessment

DL E&C announced Thursday it received the top "excellent" rating in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 2026 mutual cooperation assessment for construction companies — marking the second consecutive year it has earned the distinction.

The mutual cooperation assessment is a system operated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to promote balanced development of the construction industry and efficient project execution by fostering cooperative relationships between general and specialty contractors, as well as between large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises. Evaluation criteria include joint contracting and subcontracting performance with partner firms, partner development efforts, and creditworthiness. Companies selected as top performers receive benefits such as bonus points in public procurement bids through the Public Procurement Service and local governments, additional credit in construction capacity assessments, and reduced penalty points under the Framework Act on the Construction Industry.

DL E&C scored highly in the partner development category for financial support for partner firms, employee education support, joint technology development and technical assistance, and operation of a co-prosperity council. The company also improved its score from the previous year by expanding joint contracts with regional subcontractors on major projects, including Naepocheon First in South Chungcheong Province, Geomdan Wellcounty in Incheon, and Ulleung Airport in North Gyeongsang Province.

The company was also recognized for its efforts to create a safe working environment, including safety experience training and roundtable discussions for partner company CEOs. To strengthen ESG management, DL E&C operates what it describes as an industry-leading co-prosperity program. The company runs a graduate-level education support program for partner firm executives called the "Construction Co-prosperity Management Course," and holds an annual year-end ceremony called "Hansup Partners Day" to honor outstanding partner companies and foster a culture of shared growth.

"Under the belief that the growth of our partner companies is DL E&C's own competitiveness, we will continue to expand the diverse support programs that allow us to grow together," a company official said.

Meanwhile, DL E&C posted preliminary first-quarter consolidated sales of 1.73 trillion won ($1.11 billion) and operating profit of 157.4 billion won this year.
