Bando Construction earns top rating in ministry's mutual cooperation assessment for 4th consecutive year

Bando Construction announced July 2 that it has been named a top-rated company for the fourth consecutive year in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport's 2026 mutual cooperation assessment for construction contractors.

The mutual cooperation assessment system, first introduced in 1998, is designed to promote the development of the construction industry and improve project efficiency by fostering cooperative relationships between general and specialty contractors, as well as between large and small- and medium-sized construction firms. Evaluation criteria include joint contracting performance, subcontracting performance, partner development, and credibility.

Bando Construction has invested heavily in supporting its partner companies' capacity development, pursuing shared growth across construction sites in areas including safety, workmanship and quality. A total of 28 large construction companies received the top "excellent" rating of 95 points or above this year, including Bando Construction, Gyeryong Construction Industrial, Woomi Construction, Samsung C&T, Hyundai E&C and Hanwha's construction division.

"There are limits to what a prime contractor can achieve alone in preventing safety accidents on construction sites and delivering satisfactory build quality to customers," said Lee Jeong-ryeol, head of Bando Construction's construction division. "We will continue to spare no effort in joint technology development and education support so that our partner companies can grow alongside us and build overall capabilities across sites and construction operations."

Meanwhile, Bando Construction posted sales of 804.1 billion won ($517 million) and operating profit of 54 billion won last year.
