A sofa for everyday use — unfold it for a personalized spinal massage
A new hybrid wellness appliance combining sofa and massage bed functions is drawing attention.
Ceragem, led by CEO Lee Kyung-su, is launching the Reflex Massage Sofa Bed, which merges sofa and massage bed functionality in a single unit. It is the first product under the company's Reflex brand — designed to offer multiple functions in one product — and targets single-person households and consumers in their mid-20s to early 30s.
The Reflex Massage Sofa Bed features personalized spinal massage and an interior-friendly design built to blend into living spaces. It bridges the gap between massage bed and sofa: folded, it serves as a stylish sofa; unfolded, it becomes a bed that delivers close-contact heat massage along the curvature of the spine. The product launches in three colors — Topaz Yellow, Oatmeal Beige and Strawberry Pink — and is designed to complement a range of spaces including bedrooms, living rooms and home offices.
"Twenty-eight years of accumulated spinal and thermal technology have gone into this product," Ceragem said. "Direct-heating ceramic nodes that reach up to 65 degrees Celsius deliver intensive heat massage across the entire spine." The company added that its precision spinal-scan technology optimizes the massage to each user's body type and provides targeted acupressure along individual vertebrae.
