Comedian Kim Ji-min opens up about being bullied in school: 'I still remember the names of the two ringleaders'

Comedian Kim Ji-min has opened up about being bullied during her school years.

According to SBS Plus, the 27th episode of "Lee Ho-seon's Cider" — airing Saturday — will explore the lasting wounds of school violence and verbal abuse under the theme "I Saw the Devil: Violence as Everyday Life."

The episode will feature the story of parents whose daughter became a school bully.

Host Kim Ji-min shared her own experience on the show, saying that bullying in her day took a rotating form.

In this type of bullying, a group targets one person for a set period before moving on to the next victim.

"I always thought my turn would come eventually — and it did," Kim said, recalling the experience. "One day I went to school wearing boots, and someone had filled them with water."

She said she refused to show any reaction. "I just walked along cheerfully as if nothing had happened," she said. "Because I didn't react, they lost interest and stopped."

Kim added that she has never forgotten the two ringleaders who targeted her. "I still remember their names to this day," she said. "I still want an apology from them."

The production team said the episode would revisit the deep scars left by school violence and verbal abuse through real-life cases, adding that Kim's candid account and host Lee Ho-seon's warm counsel were expected to resonate deeply with viewers.

Kim made her debut in 2005 on the comedy program "Gag Hunting" and became widely known for the catchphrase "I can feel it~" on KBS's "Gag Concert." She married fellow comedian Kim Jun-ho in July last year.
