Forena Hillstate Jinju to launch pre-sales in August, first new complex in area in 21 years

Hanwha's construction division and Hyundai E&C plan to launch pre-sales in August for Forena Hillstate Jinju, a large branded apartment complex of about 1,000 units in Ihyeon-dong, Jinju, South Gyeongsang Province.

The complex is being developed through the Ihyeon District 1-5 reconstruction project. It will rise up to 35 above-ground floors across eight buildings, with two below-ground levels, offering a total of 1,032 units ranging from 59 to 110 square meters in exclusive use area. Of those, 398 units — sized between 59 and 84 square meters — will be available to the general public.

Ihyeon-dong, where the complex will be built, falls within Jinju's original downtown residential zone. The area has established education, transportation, retail and cultural infrastructure, but no new pre-sales have taken place there since 2005, and all existing apartment buildings in the neighborhood are at least 15 years old.

That backdrop has drawn attention to Forena Hillstate Jinju as the first new branded complex to be supplied in Ihyeon-dong in years. The project is also notable as the first large consortium apartment in Jinju to carry both the Forena and Hillstate brands.

The complex is surrounded by educational and everyday amenities. Elementary, middle and high schools are within a 10-minute walk, and a hypermarket and department store are located within roughly 2 kilometers.

The developers have also invested in floor plan design. All 59-square-meter units feature a four-bay flat-slab layout, with south-facing orientation aimed at maximizing natural light and ventilation while making the mid-size units feel more spacious.

Each unit will have 1.6 parking spaces, and one elevator will serve each building line. Community facilities are set to include a central plaza, a pet park, a children's playground, a residents' fitness area, a guesthouse, a pet care zone, a sauna, a co-working space, a screen golf facility, a fitness club and a kids cafe.

"Forena Hillstate Jinju is a consortium complex by two of Korea's leading construction companies, situated at a prime location in Ihyeon-dong where all the lifestyle infrastructure is already in place — we will deliver a product with truly differentiated appeal," said Lee Jung-seok, pre-sales director at Hanwha's construction division.

A promotional center for Forena Hillstate Jinju is open at Daeyang Building in Pyeonggeo-dong, Jinju. A model home is scheduled to open in August in the Juyak-dong area of Jinju.
