Parata Air launches Incheon-Sapporo route with full load on inaugural flight

Parata Air announced Tuesday that it has launched service on the Incheon-Sapporo route, expanding its Japan network.

The airline began scheduled flights between Incheon International Airport and New Chitose Airport in Sapporo, Hokkaido, on Monday. The inaugural flight departed with a 100 percent load factor.

The route operates once daily. Flights depart Incheon at 11:10 a.m. and arrive at New Chitose Airport at 1:45 p.m. local time, while the return flight leaves New Chitose at 3:05 p.m. and lands at Incheon at 6:10 p.m.

Parata Air is deploying its A330-200 aircraft on the route, configured with 260 seats. The airline will also offer a Business Smart Class cabin, featuring seats in a 2-2-2 configuration along with priority check-in and priority baggage service.

Parata Air held an inaugural ceremony at Incheon International Airport on Monday to mark the launch. CEO Yoon Cheol-min and other company officials attended, seeing off passengers on the first departure and celebrating the new route.

"Sapporo is one of the most popular Japanese travel destinations in summer," Yoon said. "Through this new service, we will provide differentiated service and reliable operations so that Parata Air becomes a new option for customers planning a trip to Sapporo."

Meanwhile, Parata Air plans to continue its route expansion with a new service to Hanoi, Vietnam, launching July 13.
