BMW adds black detailing to 7 Series with new 740i M Sport Pro

BMW Korea has introduced a new variant of its flagship 7 Series sedan with enhanced black design elements, adding a sportier edge to the large luxury car's exterior while preserving its premium character.

BMW Korea announced Tuesday the domestic launch of the BMW 740i xDrive M Sport Pro.

The new 740i xDrive M Sport Pro applies a black high-gloss finish across the body of the existing 7 Series, replacing silver chrome trim with high-gloss black materials for a bolder, more assertive look.

Up front, a black high-gloss kidney grille reinforces the large sedan's commanding presence while setting it apart from the chrome-heavy design of the standard model.

The same treatment carries through to the sides. The side window frames, side mirror blades and door handles all receive the black high-gloss finish, and the lower side sill covers are finished in the same color to create a cohesive, unified appearance.

The wheels and braking system also distinguish the model. It rides on 21-inch jet black wheels and is fitted with M Sport brakes featuring black calipers — a configuration aimed at customers who want a more dynamic look from a large sedan.

At the rear, a metallic black M rear spoiler completes the exterior. Black accent stripes on the rear lights and lower rear bumper tie the front, side and rear design together.

Power comes from a BMW TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder gasoline engine producing 381 horsepower and a maximum torque of 55.1 kilogram-meters. The car accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.1 seconds.

A 48V mild hybrid system is also fitted, assisting the engine during acceleration and improving driving efficiency. BMW's intelligent all-wheel-drive system xDrive distributes traction across a range of driving conditions.

The BMW 740i xDrive M Sport Pro is priced at 181 million won ($118,000) including VAT.

Meanwhile, BMW Korea will release its July online limited-edition "BEV Family Edition" lineup through BMW Shop Online at 3 p.m. Thursday, featuring the BMW iX1 eDrive20 M Sport Pro BEV Family Edition, the BMW i4 eDrive40 Gran Coupe M Sport Pro BEV Family Edition and the BMW i5 eDrive40 M Sport Pro BEV Family Edition.
