Hy announced Tuesday the launch of Biolive Immune Lactobacillus and an expansion of its probiotic brand Biolive lineup.
The new product's key ingredient is HY7017, a proprietary strain hy developed from ginseng root. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety recognized it as the first ingredient in South Korea to receive functional approval for immune enhancement. In human clinical trials, subjects who consumed HY7017 showed a 5.0 percent increase in natural killer cell activity, and positive changes were observed in two cytokine types involved in regulating immune responses.
The dedicated probiotic container uses a triple-barrier structure that allows room-temperature storage. The capsules measure about 1.4 centimeters, making them easy to swallow. Biolive Immune will be available first through major online channels, including Naver Smart Store.
"We will broaden our probiotic product range beyond liquid-based formats to include powders and capsules, and expand our presence with products tailored to more specific health needs," said Jeong Sin-yeong, head of hy's multi-marketing team.
