Korea Securities Depository announced Tuesday that it has launched KSD AX Challenge 2026, an AI agent development competition open to all employees.
Participants will use the generative AI service AIWORKS to build AI agents applicable to real work tasks. The competition runs for about one and a half months starting June 29 and is designed to produce tangible results in user-centered digital transformation and spread a culture of AI use across the organization.
The contest centers on improving workplace efficiency by reducing repetitive and redundant inquiries that employees encounter in their daily operations.
The depository plans to select winning entries through evaluation by an in-house panel of experts and feedback from employee usage. Winning AI agents will be made available to all staff to broaden AI adoption, and will also be integrated into a messenger-based AI chatbot and a company-wide shared AI agent platform, both set to launch in the second half of the year.
"As a capital market infrastructure institution, we plan to continuously develop innovative services combining AI technology to improve customer satisfaction and lead the digital and AI transformation," a depository official said.
Earlier, the depository announced Wednesday, July 1, that its in-house generative AI service, accessible on its internal network, had been designated an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission.
