Global online travel platform Trip.com is discounting its entire product lineup through Friday to ease the financial burden on travelers strained by high exchange rates and fuel surcharges.
The "7.7 Mega Sale," timed ahead of the summer vacation season, runs four days through Friday and covers all categories — flights, hotels, tours and activities, transportation and telecommunications. Special deals and app-exclusive discount coupons will be released in stages each day at set times throughout the promotional period.
The centerpiece of the sale is a series of flight flash deals focused on Asian routes popular with Korean travelers. On Tuesday at 10 p.m. — the first day of the promotion — one-way tickets on the Seoul-Osaka, Busan-Osaka and Seoul-Okinawa routes will go on sale for 7,000 won each on a first-come, first-served basis.
On Wednesday at 11 a.m., one-way tickets on the Seoul-Qingdao and Seoul-Hong Kong routes will be offered for 17,000 won ($11). On the final day, Friday, at 11 a.m., one-way tickets on the Seoul-Osaka and Seoul-Da Nang routes will be available for the same price of 17,000 won. All flash-deal tickets are valid for travel through Oct. 31.
A selection of popular domestic and overseas hotels suited for summer staycations will also be available at steep discounts. Domestic properties — including Maison Glad Jeju, Shilla Stay Guro in Seoul and St. John's Hotel in Gangneung — as well as overseas options such as Hotel Keihan Universal Tower in Osaka and Tokyo Bay Ariake Washington Hotel can be booked for 27,000 won per night on a first-come, first-served basis. Available hotels and valid stay dates vary by day, with stays permitted through late November at the latest.
On Wednesday only, Trip.com will also offer an air-and-hotel flash deal bundling a round-trip flight to Osaka with two nights of hotel accommodation. The package is priced at 398,000 won total for two people.
Activity and transportation perks round out the offering. Flash deals include buy-one-get-one tickets for Universal Studios Beijing and Universal Studios Japan, 50 percent off Shanghai and Hong Kong Disneyland admission, and buy-one-get-one tickets for Gardens by the Bay in Singapore — all on a first-come, first-served basis. Fifty-percent-off coupons for major domestic tourist attractions are also available. Car rental bookings worldwide during the promotional period receive up to 50 percent off when reserved for three or more days, and airport pickup services are discounted up to 50 percent, capped at a 20,000-won savings.
The sale also includes benefits tied to digital payment services. Paying with Toss Pay during the promotional period earns an additional 5 percent discount — up to 60,000 won — on both flight and hotel bookings. Customers who pay for international flights totaling 500,000 won or more with Kakao Pay receive up to 50,000 won off. Discount coupons and specific terms vary by day.
