Rain will fall across most of the country on Wednesday.
Some areas can expect thunderstorms and strong gusts; residents are urged to take precautions against weather-related accidents.
Heavy rainfall alerts are possible for the central regions, North Jeolla Province, the northwestern part of South Jeolla Province and the central and northern parts of North Gyeongsang Province.
Expected precipitation totals are 50–100 mm — with over 150 mm in some areas — for Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province and the five West Sea islands; 80–150 mm (over 200 mm in some areas) for Daejeon, Sejong and South Chungcheong Province; 50–100 mm (over 150 mm in some areas) for North Chungcheong Province; 80–150 mm (over 200 mm in some areas) for North Jeolla Province; and 30–80 mm (over 100 mm in some areas) for the northwestern part of South Jeolla Province.
Gwangju and the rest of South Jeolla Province (excluding the northwest) can expect 10–40 mm. Inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province are forecast to receive 50–100 mm, with over 150 mm possible in the central and southern inland areas; the East Sea coast of Gangwon Province will see 5–50 mm. The central and northern parts of North Gyeongsang Province are forecast to receive 30–80 mm (over 120 mm in some areas), with 20–60 mm for Daegu and southern North Gyeongsang Province, 5–40 mm for the western inland areas of South Gyeongsang Province, and around 5 mm for Jeju Island.
Morning lows are forecast at 21–25 degrees Celsius, with afternoon highs of 26–33 degrees Celsius.
