Seoul Shilla Hotel announced Thursday it has been named South Korea's top hotel for the second consecutive year in the "La Liste Hotel Awards 2026," released by global hotel rating organization La Liste.
La Liste publishes its World's Best Hotels 1000 ranking each year based on a comprehensive analysis of hotels and restaurants worldwide. Seoul Shilla Hotel topped the domestic rankings this year, as it did last year.
The hotel credited its performance to personalized service tailored to each guest's purpose of stay and specific requests, as well as consistent service quality. Its relay-style service — seamlessly connecting check-in to check-out — and attentive guest interactions were recognized as key competitive strengths.
Seoul Shilla Hotel continues to improve service quality across all customer touchpoints, reinforcing its standing as a global luxury hotel. In February, it became the first and only hotel in South Korea to receive a five-star designation from Forbes Travel Guide for eight consecutive years.
All four of the hotel's fine dining restaurants were listed in "La Liste 2025." The lounge and bar The Library was named a "Hotel Star Bar" by Forbes Travel Guide in June. The Chinese restaurant Palsun was the only Chinese restaurant in South Korea to receive a 2026 Trip·Gourmet Award.
"Being named South Korea's top hotel for two consecutive years is the result of our continued efforts to offer customers the finest products and best service," a Seoul Shilla Hotel official said. "We will continue to deliver distinguished service and differentiated customer experiences as a luxury hotel representing Korea."
