North Gyeongsang Province's development corporation plans to build a 37-story public rental apartment complex in the provincial government's new town.
According to the North Gyeongsang Province Development Corporation on Monday, a consortium led by Kumho Engineering & Construction — comprising Kumho Engineering & Construction, Posco E&C and Plus General Construction — will handle construction of the public rental housing project in Sanham-ri, Homyeong-eup, Yecheon-gun.
The new public rental apartment complex is set to break ground in early next year, with completion targeted for late 2029. The units will be offered under a 10-year lease-to-own conversion scheme.
The complex will consist of seven buildings ranging from three below-ground floors to a maximum of 37 above-ground floors, with a total of 726 units.
Units will come in two exclusive use area sizes — 67 square meters and 84 square meters — broken down as follows: 163 units of 67-square-meter type A, 109 units of 67-square-meter type B, 95 units of 84-square-meter type A, and 359 units of 84-square-meter type B.
"We will build a premium public housing complex where residents can live with lasting satisfaction, carefully incorporating not only safety and quality but also a child-friendly residential environment," said Lee Jae-hyeok, president of the North Gyeongsang Province Development Corporation.
