Dongjak-gu, led by District Mayor Ryu Sam-yeong, will run a second-half regular performance series at the Sangdo, Bondong and Kkamangdol Eoulmadag Art Halls, offering residents access to high-quality cultural and arts programming, the district said.
Organized by the Dongjak Culture Foundation, the series is built around each hall's distinct theme and will present performances across a range of genres every month through year-end.
The Sangdo Eoulmadag Art Hall (180 Seongdae-ro), designated as a family-oriented venue, will host the "Art Box Concert" series — a lineup spanning children's theater, gugak, classical music and jazz for audiences of all ages.
The Bondong Eoulmadag Art Hall (79 Noryangjin-ro 32-gil), focused on senior audiences, will present the "Bondong Serenade" series, featuring musicals, classical music, gugak and jazz chosen to resonate across generations.
The Kkamangdol Eoulmadag Art Hall (129 Seodal-ro), tailored for young children, will stage the "Kkamangdol Cantabile" series — children's musicals, plays and magic shows designed with young audiences in mind.
The series opens Wednesday with a musical gala, "Sarangi Meomuneun Sungan" ("The Moment Love Stays"), at 4 p.m. at the Bondong Eoulmadag Art Hall, marking the venue's first anniversary.
The following Saturday at 2 p.m., the Kkamangdol Eoulmadag Art Hall will present "Samyang Donghwa" ("Samyang Fairy Tale"), a children's musical reimagining classic literary works.
On July 29 at 7 p.m., the Sangdo Eoulmadag Art Hall will stage "Finding Oz," an interactive children's theater production.
All performances are free of charge. Residents wishing to attend may register on a first-come, first-served basis through the integrated reservation system on the Dongjak-gu website or by scanning the QR code on promotional posters. Reservation opening dates vary by performance.
