AhnLab targets global public security market at Malaysia's NCSS 2026

AhnLab participated in the National Cyber Security Summit 2026 (NCSS 2026), a cybersecurity forum held in Malaysia, where it unveiled AI-powered security technologies optimized for public-sector IT environments.

AhnLab said Monday it took part in NCSS 2026, which ran from July 7 to 9 at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre in Malaysia. NCSS is co-hosted by Malaysia's National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA) and the National Security Council (NSC). The event serves as a platform for cooperation, knowledge exchange and policy discussions aimed at strengthening national cyber resilience, and is notable for the high level of participation from government agencies and public institutions.

AhnLab said it plans to use the exhibition as a springboard to actively pursue new business opportunities in Malaysia's public-sector market. The company has been expanding its global presence through a series of international forum appearances, including Interop Tokyo 2026 in Japan in June, Cybersec 2026 in Taiwan in May and RSAC 2026 in the United States in March.

At the exhibition, AhnLab operated a booth under the theme "AI Security Platform Covering Both IT and OT." The company introduced a lineup of AI-based integrated security solutions: AhnLab XDR, an AI-driven threat analysis platform; AhnLab TIP, a next-generation threat intelligence platform; and AhnLab CPS Plus, a converged CPS security platform.

AhnLab said senior government officials and IT executives from Malaysian government agencies and major companies visited its booth during the event. Visitors included representatives from government bodies such as NACSA, the military and the police, as well as automakers and energy companies, with whom the firm discussed potential areas of cooperation.

AhnLab identified AhnLab XDR as the solution that drew the most attention at the event. Malaysia is a market in the early stages of digital transformation, and demand is growing for platform-based integrated security that links multiple solutions together rather than relying on individual standalone products.

AhnLab XDR's integrated security capabilities — collecting security data across multiple systems within an organization and identifying threats through correlation analysis — received positive feedback from local visitors. Particularly well-received was its ability to analyze data using AI and connect detection, analysis, investigation and response activities within a single platform.

AhnLab TIP also proved popular. Visitors showed strong interest in the up-to-date information it provides on cyber threats and attack groups across the Asia-Pacific region, and the solution earned praise for its ability to feed organization-relevant intelligence into the detection policies of security products.

AhnLab CPS Plus drew attention from government, public institution and corporate representatives alike. Visitors shared the view that, as cyber threats targeting critical national infrastructure increase amid digital transformation, there is a growing need for an integrated security framework spanning both IT and OT environments.

Choi Jeong-eui, head of AhnLab's global business division, was invited to an official closed-door workshop on the first day of the event. Choi delivered a presentation titled "Understanding Asia-Pacific Cyber Threats from a Korean Perspective: Key Attack Cases, Trends and Cyber Resilience Strategies."

"This year, we have been participating in a series of global cybersecurity exhibitions to promote AhnLab's diverse solutions, platforms and competitiveness," Choi said. "Based on the track record we have built in Korea's public sector, we received positive evaluations from Malaysian government and public-sector officials who place the greatest importance on customer trust, and confirmed a range of potential cooperation opportunities."
