LX Hausys targets holiday window replacements with one-day installation service

LX Hausys is targeting demand for aging window replacements this summer by promoting its one-day installation service, which completes the entire job within a single day.

This year, Constitution Day — reinstated as a public holiday for the first time in 18 years — falls on a Friday, creating a three-day weekend. Liberation Day falls on a Saturday on Aug. 15, and its substitute holiday has been designated for Aug. 17, adding a second three-day weekend. LX Hausys expects more consumers to schedule window work around these extended breaks and is ramping up promotional activities accordingly.

The company's flagship product, the LX Z:IN View Frame, features a bezel-less design that reduces frame exposure compared with conventional windows. It also incorporates a multi-chamber structure — dividing the sash and frame interior into multiple compartments — to boost insulation performance.

The View Frame double-pane window uses a single sheet of low-emissivity glass measuring either 26 or 28 millimeters thick, achieving a top energy efficiency rating of Grade 1. Low-e glass is a functional glazing product coated with a thin layer of metal or metal oxide to reduce heat transfer between indoors and outdoors.

Windows and doors typically offer lower insulation performance than walls or roofs, making them a primary source of heat loss in buildings. Their insulating properties directly affect heating and cooling energy consumption — limiting the inflow of outdoor heat in summer and preventing indoor warmth from escaping in winter.

LX Hausys's one-day installation service begins with the removal of existing windows at around 9 a.m. and wraps up with installation and finishing work by around 6 p.m. The company says the shortened construction period has driven steady demand, particularly in apartment buildings where residents are sensitive to noise and dust.

According to LX Hausys, window sales in June rose slightly from the previous month. The company expects inquiries to increase further in July and August, when the peak vacation season coincides with heightened demand for cooling solutions.

LX Hausys plans to visit more than 120 apartment complexes nationwide over the two months, holding window consultations and promotional events. Through mid-August, customers who purchase 7 million won ($4,650) or more in View Frame windows through the LX Z:IN brand website will receive a turning door valued at 800,000 won.

"Our one-day installation product — covering everything from removal to installation in a single day — is drawing attention ahead of the vacation season," a company official said. "We will target summer window replacement demand through apartment complex visits and purchase benefits."
