Shinsegae Duty-Free launches premium airport pickup service, a first in the industry

Shinsegae Duty-Free announced Monday the launch of a premium pickup service for VIP customers called the Airport Mobility Service.

Billed as the first VIP-exclusive pickup and drop-off service in the duty-free industry, the offering lets customers traveling abroad or returning home book a vehicle at a time and location of their choosing, with a professional driver handling transport between their residence and the airport. The service is available at both Incheon and Gimpo airports.

The service integrates flight information through an API connection, enabling real-time tracking of departure and arrival times and flight status. It is also designed to accommodate flight delays and schedule changes.

Shinsegae Duty-Free said it introduced the service to improve travel convenience for VIP customers and to deliver a differentiated membership experience that extends customer engagement from the start of a journey to its end.

"We plan to expand the service to connect hotels and airports for international customers, further improving customer satisfaction," a Shinsegae Duty-Free official said.
