The Hi-One Resort Women's Open 2026 wrapped up successfully after four days, July 9-12, at Hi-One Country Club in Jeongseon, Gangwon Province, drawing praise for its high-level competition, diverse gallery programs and a community partnership model.
Ko Ji-woo claimed wire-to-wire victory with a final score of 22-under-par 270, holding the lead from the first round through the final round without relinquishing it once. The win marked Ko's first victory of the season and her second title at the Hi-One Resort Women's Open, having also won in 2024, cementing her status as the tournament's reigning queen.
Now in its 15th edition, the Hi-One Resort Women's Open operated under the slogan "A Wellness Resort with Diverse Healing Experiences," positioning itself as an experiential sports festival blending golf, tourism, wellness and local culture. The tournament drew wide attention as a signature summer sports event alongside the players' competitive performances.
The tournament also stood out as a model for sports events that grow alongside their host communities. Through a Korail tourism package, programs linking local businesses and the operation of the "Hi-One Night Market," the event drew visitors from across the country to Jeongseon, boosting local tourism and the regional economy.
Experiential content for spectators also proved popular. At the Gallery Plaza in front of the clubhouse, visitors enjoyed a range of sports activities — a GolfZone screen putting challenge, a Gangwon FC shooting challenge and a pocket billiards challenge. Fan signing sessions, player high-five events and a winner's photo zone further enriched the festival atmosphere by bringing players and fans together.
The "Hi-One Night Market," which ran Friday and Saturday, drew large crowds with local brands, food offerings and various evening programs. A prize giveaway event for gallery visitors also generated strong interest.
Lee Min-ho, acting head of Kangwon Land's tourism marketing division, said the tournament "came to a successful close as a festival everyone could enjoy together, with thrilling competition from the players, passionate support from the gallery and active participation from the local community." He added that the company would "continue to develop it as a leading domestic sports festival where golf, tourism and community partnership come together, built on Hi-One Resort's pristine natural environment and wellness offerings."
