A Homeplus store in Seoul was shuttered Monday morning as the hypermarket chain began temporarily closing its locations. Homeplus said it had no choice but to suspend operations after exhausting all available operating funds. "We are in a situation where we cannot cover product payments, utility costs, or any other operating expenses needed to maintain our stores," the company said.
