Seoul's Eunpyeong-gu said it has begun producing and distributing "integrity business cards" to staff transferring between departments, starting this month, as part of an effort to promote a culture of clean public administration.
The cards are designed to naturally convey a commitment to integrity during encounters with residents and business contacts, and to help spread an anti-corruption culture in everyday work life.
The front of each card features a QR code linking to the government's official misconduct reporting website, while the back carries the slogan: "Eunpyeong-gu opens the door to change and tomorrow with integrity."
Staff are expected to use the cards when handling public inquiries and visiting external agencies to communicate their commitment to clean conduct and to inform people of the official misconduct reporting system. The district plans to eventually distribute the cards to all employees to embed an integrity culture across the entire organization.
"The integrity business card is a small but meaningful act — one in which public servants pledge to practice integrity themselves and promise transparent administration to residents," district mayor Kim Mi-kyung said. "We will work to root an integrity culture throughout the organization and build an Eunpyeong that residents can trust."
