Porsche Korea announced Tuesday that it will introduce T-map Auto-based Korea-specific navigation across its 2027 lineup, covering the 911, Panamera, Cayenne and the all-electric Taycan.
The T-map Auto system was developed in collaboration with T-map Mobility and is optimized for domestic road conditions, offering real-time traffic information and local map data. The integration improves route guidance accuracy and overall usability of Porsche's infotainment system, while also enhancing convenience features for electrified models.
Porsche said the system preserves the consistency of its global infotainment platform while seamlessly incorporating the everyday mobility and digital experience that Korean customers rely on. Drivers will benefit from more precise route guidance, intuitive directions through complex urban intersections and highway on- and off-ramps, and easy access to real-time traffic conditions and key road information.
For electric vehicle drivers in particular, the system provides real-time charging station availability, detailed charger information and user reviews, along with a filter search function to help locate the most suitable charging station for any given driving situation, the company said.
A range map also displays how far the vehicle can travel based on remaining battery charge, and battery preconditioning support ensures efficient driving even on long-distance trips.
"Korea is a market where customers have very high expectations for digital services, and the importance of the in-car digital experience continues to grow," said Matthias Buse, president of Porsche Korea. "Through the introduction of T-map Auto, we will raise the overall quality of our customers' mobility experience and continue to strengthen a customer-centered digital experience."
Porsche Korea is the 17th subsidiary of Porsche AG, which marks its 78th anniversary this year. The Korean unit has handled official imports and retail distribution of Porsche vehicles since Jan. 1, 2014.
Porsche Korea offers the following models in the domestic market: the sports car 911, the Taycan, the sporty SUV Macan, the Cayenne, the four-door Panamera, and the mid-engine sports cars 718 Boxster and Cayman.
In May, Porsche Korea partnered with Make-A-Wish Korea to hold a "Happy Children's Day, May Where Wishes Grow" event at Severance Hospital's children's ward for children with serious illnesses and their families, as part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility efforts.
