Special prosecutor seeks arrest warrants for ex-prosecutor general Shim Woo-jung on insurrection charges

The second comprehensive special prosecutor's office — led by special prosecutor Kwon Chang-young and tasked with investigating allegations left unresolved after the three earlier special counsel probes into insurrection, Kim Keon Hee, and the Marine corporal case — said Tuesday it had sought arrest warrants for former Prosecutor General Shim Woo-jung and Jeon Mu-gon, former head of the planning and coordination division at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office, on charges including participation in key insurrection-related duties.
