Kumho Tire-backed teams sweep podium at Hyundai N Festival Round 3

Kumho Tire announced Tuesday that the Kumho SL Motorsports team and Elaine Motorsport team, both sponsored by the company, swept the podium at Round 3 of the Gran Turismo eN1 Class at the Hyundai N Festival, demonstrating dominant technical performance.

Round 3 of the Hyundai N Festival was held Saturday at Inje Speedium in Gangwon Province, featuring two daytime and two nighttime races. In Race 1, Lee Chang-wook of the Kumho SL Motorsports team delivered a commanding performance to claim victory, while Kim Jin-su of the Elaine Motorsport team finished second — giving Kumho Tire-sponsored teams a 1-2 finish.

In Race 2, the first nighttime event of the round, Lee finished third.

The Gran Turismo eN1 Class is the electric vehicle racing category of the Hyundai N Festival, the country's largest single-make racing series. It is both South Korea's first dedicated EV race and the world's first EV race to use slick tires developed exclusively for racing.

Kumho Tire supplies racing tires to the Kumho SL Motorsports, Elaine Motorsport and Wens Inje Podium Racing teams, providing technical support for stable race operations throughout the competition.

The vehicles are fitted with Ennvibe, Kumho Tire's EV-dedicated tire brand. Ennvibe incorporates the company's advanced technology and uses an EV-specific EMC to deliver superior grip and stable handling even at high speeds.

Meanwhile, Kumho Tire recently held its "2026 G. Equipment Procurement Partner Roundtable" at the main building of its Gwangju factory in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju. The company shared updates on key procurement policies, the status of its new factory, supply chain ESG (environmental, social and governance) initiatives, carbon management policies, and corporate response strategies for global carbon regulations with its partners, as part of its broader commitment to cooperative management.
