Gangnam showrooms drive pre-order surge
Dealer covers full cycle from purchase to after-sales, membership and repurchase
Hansung Motor, the official Mercedes-Benz partner in Korea, said Tuesday it had recorded more than 930 pre-orders for the New Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the New Maybach S-Class.
The New S-Class is the brand's flagship sedan, built on the Mercedes-Benz operating system (MB.OS) to deliver an enhanced digital experience alongside an upgraded powertrain and advanced driver-assistance technology. More than half of the vehicle's components — roughly 2,700 parts — were newly developed or redesigned, significantly improving the model's overall appeal.
Pre-orders were concentrated at key showrooms in Seoul's Gangnam area, including the Gangnam, Seocho and Samsung districts, where demand for premium vehicles is highest. Hansung Motor said the strong response reflected the tailored consulting capabilities of its sales consultants, who have long served luxury-car customers, as well as the premium service provided throughout the purchase process.
Hansung Motor has been reinforcing a customer-experience-centered operating model in line with Mercedes-Benz Korea's new sales approach, "Retail of the Future." The initiative maps out each stage of the customer journey — from consultation and contract to vehicle delivery and after-sales care — and aims to deliver consistent premium service at every step.
After-sales service is another competitive strength the company highlights. Hansung Motor operates the largest Mercedes-Benz service network in the country and has been raising maintenance quality and customer support through continued investment in service centers and the development of specialist technicians.
Alongside this, the company runs an integrated loyalty program called Club Hansung, a customer experience manager (CXM) at each showroom, and a business development center (BDC) that provides 24-hour customer consultation — together forming a one-stop customer experience spanning vehicle purchase, ownership, lifestyle and repurchase.
"For flagship-model customers, the purchase process and the experience that follows are just as important a deciding factor as the vehicle itself," said Kim Marco, chief executive of Hansung Motor. "We will continue to strengthen customer trust by delivering differentiated premium service at every customer touchpoint."
