Member leaves global girl group SAINT SATINE months before debut

Lexi is departing SAINT SATINE, the global girl group formed through a partnership between HYBE and Geffen Records.

HxG, the joint venture between HYBE and Geffen, announced Tuesday through SAINT SATINE's official channels that it had reached a mutual agreement with Lexi to part ways. "After lengthy, careful and in-depth discussions with Lexi about the group's future direction, we have decided by mutual agreement to go our separate ways," the company said.

It added that "Lexi will no longer be active as a member of SAINT SATINE, nor will she continue as part of HxG," and wished her "all the best in the road ahead."

Lexi also shared her feelings about leaving the group. "I am truly and deeply grateful for the opportunities they gave me and everything I learned along the way, but I've come to the conclusion that it's the right time for us to go our separate ways," she said.

She went on to say: "It hasn't been easy, but I've found peace in accepting that not everything in life is meant to be. I have nothing but respect and gratitude for the team, but we had different ways of working. And I think that's OK."

SAINT SATINE is the second global girl group to come out of the HYBE-Geffen Records collaboration, following Katseye. The group was formed this year through "World Scout: The Final Piece," a competition program aired on Japanese streaming platform ABEMA.

The four-member lineup — Emily (United States), Lexi (Sweden), Sakura (Japan) and Samara (Brazil) — was finalized in May, with a debut planned for the second half of this year. With Lexi's departure, the group is now a trio.

Meanwhile, HYBE and Geffen Records previously launched global girl group Katseye together in 2024.
