[Senior Reporter Park Jong-il] Seoul's Eunpyeong-gu will hold a "Taegukgi Display Challenge" to encourage residents to fly the national flag on Constitution Day, the 78th anniversary of South Korea's constitution, on Friday.
The event was organized to mark the significance of Constitution Day, which commemorates the enactment of the Republic of Korea's constitution, and to promote a culture of national flag display.
Residents who wish to participate should fly the Taegukgi on Constitution Day, post a verification photo on their personal SNS account, subscribe to Eunpyeong-gu's official SNS account, and submit proof of participation. The first 200 participants will receive their choice of one item — either a Taegukgi or a Taegukgi-themed keycap.
"Constitution Day is a meaningful occasion that commemorates the enactment of the Republic of Korea's constitution," Eunpyeong-gu District Mayor Kim Mi-kyung said. "I hope residents will join this challenge and reflect together on what it means to love our country."
