Rimini Gangnam flagship reopens with Italian tasting showroom concept

Rimini, an Italian dining brand operated by Eland Eats, reopened its Gangnam flagship store Wednesday at Newcore Outlet Gangnam in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

The store expanded from 45 pyeong (about 149 square meters) to 56 pyeong (about 185 square meters), with seating growing from 48 to 68. The centerpiece of the renovation is an "Italian tasting showroom" designed to let customers watch ingredients being prepared and dishes being handcrafted. Through the storefront windows, visitors can see fresh pasta, basil pesto and arancini being made, and each morning the dough-kneading and pasta-pulling process is visible up close.

A live showcase at the entrance displays Italian ingredients — including burrata, provolone and Grana Padano cheeses alongside extra-virgin olive oil and truffle oil. Tableside trolley service featuring cheese and olive oil is also newly introduced.

The Gangnam location offers eight exclusive menu items. The truffle fresh tagliatelle (19,900 won, about $13) pairs house-made fresh pasta with a Grana Padano cream sauce and truffle. The flower cheese cacio e pepe (19,900 won) puts a Rimini spin on the Roman classic. The provolone carbonara pizza (19,900 won) reinterprets Roman-style carbonara as a pizza. A peanut mascarpone green salad (12,900 won) rounds out the exclusive lineup.

The brand also plans to roll out seasonal menus, with an autumn menu featuring figs and seafood set for September and a winter menu to follow in November.

"The Rimini Gangnam flagship embodies the brand's vision of handcrafted Italian dining under 20,000 won through its ingredients, artisan processes and table experience," an Eland Eats official said. "We will keep prices accessible while deepening the menu experience with authentic Italian ingredients."
