DGIST hosted the 21st University Rowing Championship at the Tangeumo International Rowing Course in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, on Saturday and Sunday.
Co-organized by DGIST and the North Chungcheong Rowing Association, the event ran alongside the 12th Tangeumo Lifestyle Sports Rowing Competition and featured a total of 30 races.
About 300 athletes and officials from eight universities took part, including host DGIST, Korea University, Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Postech, UNIST, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Hallym University.
In the men's coxed four final, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies claimed gold with a time of 3 minutes 47.42 seconds, while Korea University topped the women's coxed four final in 4 minutes 10.84 seconds.
Hankuk University of Foreign Studies took the overall championship title, while DGIST earned a bronze medal in the alumni eights event.
"We will continue to provide full support so that students can grow in a well-rounded way through a variety of sports activities," said Cho Yong-cheol, DGIST's dean of admissions and student affairs.
