Ulsan Grand Park launches summer night market

A summer night market called the Garden Night Market has opened at the lawn plaza of Ulsan Grand Park in Nam-gu, Ulsan, timed to the summer vacation season.

The Ulsan Culture and Tourism Foundation announced Wednesday that the market will run every Wednesday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. through Aug. 29.

Built around the theme of "a garden in the city," the night market is designed as an evening festival blending culture with nature, adding garden-inspired ambiance to popular elements from previous editions.

The market features nine vendor booths selling handcrafted goods, six hands-on activity booths — including ceramic plate painting — 15 food trucks and 10 food stalls.

Street performances will include fusion jazz, popular music, classical concerts and magic shows. A carousel and a children's train will be on hand for families during the school break, and a dedicated photo zone has been set up for visitors to capture memories.

A city official said the market gives visitors a chance to enjoy Ulsan Grand Park's lush greenery by day and the unique appeal of a summer night where garden scenery and culture come together after dark.
