LG Chem posted second-quarter operating profit of 599.6 billion won ($416 million), up 25.8 percent from a year earlier, the company disclosed Friday.
Revenue for the same period came in at 14.18 trillion won, a preliminary figure reflecting a 19 percent increase year on year.
Net profit for the period was 66.8 billion won, swinging to a profit from a loss in the year-earlier quarter.
