Patient attacks fellow resident with weapon at care hospital in Gwangju, victim goes into cardiac arrest

A patient at a care hospital in Sinandong, Buk-gu, Gwangju, attacked another patient with a weapon Saturday.

According to police, the suspect, identified only as A, attacked a fellow patient in his 70s, referred to as B, with a weapon at around 6:43 p.m. B went into cardiac arrest and firefighters transported him to a nearby hospital.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
